Diese revolutionäre Bulova Thermatron Uhr wurde Anfang der 70er Jahre entwickelt und kam dann 1982 auf den Markt. Das Werk trägt das Kaliber 2467.10, die Werk Nummer ist: C802.040, der Thermogenerator hat die Nummer 10509-246.01.
Die Uhr nutzt den Temparaturunterschied der Haut (Unterseite der Uhr) zur Luft (Oberseite der Uhr) und erzeugt daraus eine Spannung, die einen Accu (Leclanche 4106, 1,1V) auflädt, mit dem dann das Quarzwerk betrieben wird. Damit ist nie ein Batteriewechsel erforderlich. Herstelldatum P2 (1982), Beschriftet vorn: “Bulova, Thermatron”, hinten: “Bulova Watch Co, P2, Swiss, Water Resistant, Stainless Steel Back and Bezel  Ring, 10652461”, innen: “No-0-Jewels, unadjusted, Swiss, Bulova Watch Co., Leclanche SR4106”.
Der Accu war nicht sehr zuverlässig und der Vertrieb der Uhr wurde von Bulova eingestellt. Die Firma STW hat dann den gesamten Bestand von Bulova aufgekauft und die Technik modifiziert.  Siehe STW Thermatron.

This revolutionary Bulova Thermatron watch has been developed beginning of the 70s and was introduced to the market in 1982. The movement has the Caliber 2467.10, Serial number is: C802.040,  the Thermogenerator has the Number 10509-246.01 .
This watch uses the temparature difference from the skin (backside of the watch) to the air (frontside of the watch) and generates a current to load a  rechargeable battery (Leclanche 4106, 1,1V), which in turn drives the quartz movement. So (theoretically) you never have to change the battery. The rechargeable battery was not very reliable and Bulova stopped selling the watch and sold all surplus to a company called STW They modified the circuit and used a capacitor instead of the battery. See STW Thermatron.
